The New Verification feature in Linkedln aims to safeguard job searchers in the face to
uncertainty
The Indian Job market is expanding, highly competitive and digital. However there is a sad reality behind the numbers, vulnerability increases along with the opportunities. Online job
scams are becoming more and more common, targeting professionals who are already
dealing with burnout, economic insecurity and layoffs.
Inorder to strengthen the professional trust, Linkedln has rolled out New Verification
Features intended to increase the professional security.
1) Expanded Company Page Verification: More Businesses especially small enterprises,
can now access it with a Paid Premium Page subscription. This expansion aids
expanding businesses in establishing credibility with clients, potential applicants, and
customers, as 85% of business purchasers state that trust influences decisions.
2) Recruiter Workforce Verification: Members are now required to confirm their
employment when adding titles connected to recruiters such as Talent acquisition
specialist or recruiter. This gives job seekers, confidence that they are corresponding
with real recruiters rather than scammers.
3) Executive Job title Verification: Verification will now be mandatory for senior
leadership positions like managing director or vice president, diminishing the
possibility of impersonation at the highest levels.
LinkedIn has been gradually growing its verification ecosystem since 2023, including
recruiters, jobs, corporate sites, and individual identities. Over 90 million professionals are
verified globally now, and the benefits are readily apparent: certified profiles receive 13%
more recruiter responses, 60% more views, and 30% more connection requests.
According to LinkedIn, more than 99 percent of fraudulent accounts and scams are already
blocked before they are detected. The technology stopped 80.6 million fake accounts from
being made between July and December 2024 alone.
The New Verification Features is more than merely an innovation in technology for job
seekers who are dealing with scams and layoffs; it’s a source of comfort. It’s recognising that
the recruiter is authentic. It’s the guarantee that a business page is managed by an
honourable employer.
Furthermore, platforms that assume responsibility for trust are much needed in today’s
volatile market, where professionals are expected to be adaptable, resilient, and constantly
“future-ready.” Because trust isn’t just a quality; it’s a lifeline during uncertain times.
